Dislikes: Too much responsibility, being stressed out, losing a game, being confronted with her past, being ill, having to rely on others, strong coffee (she'd rather drink that fake kind with lots of milk in it and just a tiny spoon of coffee powder), being rushed, birds with eyes like black beads(makes her feel so uncomfortable).
Fears: ✘ Losing her ability to walk - Obviously, for a woman who loves to sport and move around and see the world, this would be a absolute and complete disaster.
✘ Commitment - It's not necessarily that Narah fears to commit to someone, but after a rough break-up with her boyfriend, she has had trouble commiting to anyone else.
Trivia✘ Narah can focus on something for hours on end, especially on fixing things that are broken. She likes to see the progress she made after working for hours on end on something and always feels as if she's accomplished something when she's completed her work.
✘ Narah is a bad loser. And also a bad winner. She loves playing games, but can get very fanatical.. and very eager to win.

✘ Narah is the kind of person who takes life as it is and wants to enjoy every bit of it, completely.
✘ Narah is a terrible person when she's sick or ill. Really. She gets grumpy, pessimistic and wishes to be able to breath through her goddamn nose again.

H I S T O R Y
Occupation: aspiring beam of lightPeople have never really been able to tell where Narah originates from; her appearance is a mixture of standards from many different planets and if you were to look back into her heritage, it would become clear why. Her ancestors come from a large variety of planets, especially cassia, shadra, nova and erd. One thing is clear, however; Narah's story starts in Shadra, where her mother Elizabeth gave birth to her. What exactly happened during the first three months of her life, is unknown. Three months after her birth, her mother walked into an adoption centre and told the woman behind the desk that she wanted to give her child up for adoption. This woman asked her name, "Elizabeth", and left to get some forms that needed to be filled in and signed before they could complete the adoption process. However, when the woman returned, Narah's mother had already left, leaving her 3-month old in the hands of the adoption centre. All she would know from the woman who brought her into this life, was her first name; although even that could have been a lie.
A few moments later, a couple from Erd walked in. They had made an appointment with one of the staff members, wishing to adopt a child from around here, because the wife herself couldn't bear a child on her own. And there was the three month old; crying - no screaming in the hands of the poor secretaresse, who did everything in her power to keep the child calm and quiet. But with every thing the young secretaresse tried, the baby only seemed to cry and scream more. Tears running over her cheeks, an angry red color flushed on her face. The woman from Erd decided to step in and help the young secretaresse, taking the baby in her hands. In the strong hands of this woman, the little baby’s screaming lowered to soft sobbing, before she stopped crying and directed her light blue eyes towards the new person holding her. The way the young Shadran baby then grabbed the woman’s shirt with her teeny tiny hands, trying to get some grasp on this situation, perhaps looking for the motherly protection the woman from Erd seemed to radiate, was the moment they both knew that neither one was leaving without the other.
And that’s exactly the story of how she ended up in Erd. The couple waited three months for the birth mother to return - not wanting to take her kid from her - but after these months, they took the child back home to one of the largest underground city Erd knows; Svarga. It was a large place, build and carved into the caves hidden inside an enormous mountain. Her adoptive father and mother named her Narah, and decided to use her birth mother’s name as her second name. From that day she would be known as Narah Elizabeth Salazar, daughter of Darya and Kaius Salazar. Her parents were well-known in the city, for they owned one of the most popular blacksmith shops and also took side jobs in repairing buildings, furniture and more throughout the city.
Narah grew up thinking Darya and Kaius were her real parents and she was such a happy child. She played with her friends, often exploring the many caves together and just doing whatever children should do, and also loved spending time in the shop of her parents. Keeping away from the heavy work, but definitely interested in helping her father repair the broken clocks and everything else she could help him with. It became very clear that the girl loved focussing on these kind of things, and also had to concentration to do so, where she completely lacked this concentration during school hours. It was obvious how the girl only seemed to want to focus on things she liked, and not on things she disliked a lot; like writing in a forced handwriting she couldn’t get the hang of.
[TEENS]At the age of twelve, Narah found out about her primary magic, although she had been learning how to control earth magic ever since she was eight. At this point, it was inevitable for her parents to start telling the truth to the twelve year old, because the blonde girl obviously had lots of questions about this. Neither one of her parents controlled this type of magic and because she had learned on school that this was something you inherit from your parents, she obviously had her concerns. Then the horrible news finally came; she was adopted. This kind of news breaks any child’s heart at first; your whole life seems to fall and crash in front of you. Everything you thought was true, suddenly wasn’t. Were there more lies told to you in your life? And then the hardest question of all: why? Why did her own parents leave her? An answer Kaius and Darya sadly couldn’t give her. All they knew about her mother was her name, Elizabeth.
This changed the young girl to a certain extent. She became rebellious, often found arguing with her parents about even the smallest things, shutting her bedroom door in front of their noses when she was done, ending up crying on her bed, wondering who her real parents were. She felt abandoned. Left alone. And like any teen, she decided to throw this anxiety and anger to the ones standing most close to her; her adoptive parents. She would ignore them for days, disappear for hours on end and even sometimes for a full day without telling them. Her actions in school seemed to get worse and worse. From not making her homework, to skipping classes and eventually to failing exams.
And at age seventeen she suddenly disappeared.
Months before the disappearance she had met a 21 year old boy, whom she had fallen completely head over heels for. He was everything she could wish for; handsome, kind, loving and above all, he had her back, no matter what. Thus, when he asked her to leave with him, she said yes, packed her stuff when her parents were at work and left. Never leaving a note. Nor a trace to where she went. The first few months were perfect; they enjoyed their life in the wild. Her learned her to make a fire, to hunt, to use her magic, her fists and weapons to be able to protect herself against the dangers that walked the vast wastelands of Erd.
But after those first few months, things started to get a little darker. His money became low and he managed to convince - no, even slightly force - her to steal for the first time. She was small, looked innocent and he promised to distract the shop owner so she could grab the money from behind the counter. And so they did; as he was talking to the old man owning the shop, she grabbed his well-earned money from behind the counter and they left. It felt bad. So bad. Because she knew the old man probably needed all the money he could get, like all other people in Erd, he probably had a lot of mouths to feed daily. She told him she didn’t want to do this again, but Kieran - that was his name - didn’t seem to care. He spent all the money and when it was all gone, would go back to her and ask her to do it again. And when she said no he told her she had no choice - it was his money he had spent on her as well, how was she otherwise going to pay him back for it?
Eventually she decided to just listen to him, because it wasn’t worth the fight in her eyes. She still completely loved him, blind to his aggressive and manipulative traits. Lucky for them they never got caught, no matter how many times they have actually stolen from others. There were, however, lots of messages going around for people to watch out for the couple; the girl with the blonde hair and grey-ish eyes and the tall dark-haired boy. They had to be more careful, she knew it, but he didn’t listen. One day, the found themselves running from guards within one of the major cities of Erd. Quick and clever, knowing the small streets by heart, Narah led both of them to safety. Only to find herself being yelled at by Kieran, because obviously she had fucked up and it had been her mistake in the first place that the guards had noticed them. She yelled back at first, but he managed to twist everything so perfectly, that she eventually accepted and believed she had been the one to fuck up - again.
This kind of mental - and sometimes even physical - abuse kept going on for three years, and Kieran thought he had her under his complete control. She had started to use her dark magic to become an even better thief and when she successfully stole something, she always returned to Kieran, giving it back to him so he could spend it all on whatever he liked to spend it on. Usually gambling and drinking it all away. Until one day she suddenly snapped when he had gotten aggressive with her again. Finally seeing the light; that this man wasn’t the love of her life, that he wasn’t a dream, no he was a complete and utter nightmare. And staying with him would only ruin her. The anger running through her veins resulted in an outburst of her own magic, hitting him with such a force that she would have been sure she would have killed him if she had directed it more towards his chest or head rather than his legs. As he fell to the ground, grasping his leg and screaming, the feeling of satisfaction she felt frightened her. She ran away. Far. Until her legs couldn’t carry her body anymore. Breaking away from this manipulative kind of relationship felt good, but also bad. All of the sudden everything she had in her life was gone, because he had cut all her ties to the outside world so easily and now here she was; no clue where to go, no-one to return to.
She spent the following half year on her own in the wild. Surviving on the things she already knew, hiding or defending herself from whichever dangers she encountered. Until finally she had found the courage to return to Svarga. Back to her parents. Of course she feared being rejected by them, after all the time she had left them to worry about what had happened to her. But when she knocked on the door and her mother opened it, there was no anger, no resentment, only a long and strong hug. Of course, during dinner, a long and hearty conversation was inevitable. Her parents had been so worried, they thought she had been gone forever! And thus Narah promised Kaius and Darya that something like this would never happen again; she would repair herself, find a job and make them proud.
[YOUNG ADULT]And Narah was one to stick to her promises. At age 21 she finally completed her last year of high school and got her certificate, after which she immediately went on to a study in Technology, something that had always been very close to her interests. She learned a lot and was the best in her class, eager to learn everything she could possible learn.
At age 24 she completes her study in technology and quickly gets hired by a company that develops new technology and improves old technology.
Everything goes well, until one day at age 25 she decides to be too reckless and too ambitious with one of the newly developed - and very expensive - machines, pushing it just a tad too far, causing it to explode and burst into flames. She is immediately fired and asked to pack her stuff and leave. After this, no other company in technology seems to want to hire her, all worried the same thing would happen to their expensive equipment. Narah decides it’s time to leave Svarga again and this time tells her parents about her plans. She had decided to leave to the other side of Erd, to study to become a teacher in surviving and gymnastics. Knowing full well that sports and surviving had been a major part of her life. And so she left to Zerzura and applies to study.
To pay for her stay, she helps around the town repairing whatever needs to be repaired. It paid well and people were always quite satisfied by her work. She is 28 when the time comes for her to become a trainee and she decides to apply to Starshine Academy; a small planet inhabited by a large school she has always wondered about.
