Magic usage: Door de betovering van de ijsmagiër die hem gered had, heeft Jack affiniteit met ijs en sneeuw magie. Hij kan dingen bevriezen, stralen van koude energie werpen, het op kleine schaal laten sneeuwen, en hij kan vormen maken uit zijn ijs. Zo kenmerkt zijn magie zich ook met krulachtige vormen wanneer hij iets bevriest.
Hij heeft weinig met water magie, maar heeft het af en toe wel eens weten te beheersen, hoewel hij meer controle heeft over ijs.

INNER
Playfull;; Voor een jongen die tegen de adolescentie aan loopt, is Jack nog erg speels. Sowieso is het een half-bewezen feit dat jongens minder snel volwassen worden dan meisjes, maar bij Jack is dit vrij duidelijk te zien. Hij haalt redelijk vaak ongein uit en heeft een natuurlijk soort talent om mensen te laten lachen op de een of andere manier.
Energetic;; Met zijn speelsheid komt ook zijn energieke persoonlijkheid. Hij is niet degene die stil in een hoekje zit, hij is niet degene die niets zegt en niet wil opvallen. Juist het tegenovergestelde daarvan. Hij valt erg op met zijn energieke persoonlijkheid, blijft bijna nooit stil en heeft zo zijn momenten waarin hij veel kan praten. Dit betekent niet dat hij niet weet wanneer hij moet stoppen, want dat heeft hij wel degelijk door.
Flirtatious;; Oké, de flirt zit ook wel in Jack. Jack heeft geen duidelijke manier van flirten, immers heb ik nooit gezegd dat hij er goed in is, maar hij weet mensen wel vaak voor zich te winnen door gewoon zichzelf te zijn met ietsje meer glans en een zilveren lijntje aan zijn woorden.

Reckless;; Zijn speelsheid heeft zo ook zijn nadelen, want hij is lichtelijk roekeloos geworden door alle spelletjes. Hij trekt niet echt een lijn meer tussen veiligheid en gevaar. Heeft hij de keuze om iets compleet gevaarlijks te doen? Wel, waarom niet. Hij is bijna doodgevroren in zijn jeugd, hij wil niet weer het gevoel hebben dat hij zijn leven niet tot het uiterste heeft geleefd.
Stubborn;; Helaas voor de mensen die hem van zijn roekeloosheid af willen helpen: hij heeft een enorm koppig karakter. Als hij iets wilt doen, dan gaat hij er gewoon voor. Hij laat zich niet heel snel ompraten door anderen, hoewel dat wel kan voorkomen als er meerdere mensen tegen hem in gaan.
Jack of all trades;; Hij is geen specialist, maar kan wel veel dingen. Hij is niet ontzettend goed in iets, meer middelmatig. Hij heeft sterke ijsmagie, maar het is zeker niet de beste. Hij is misschien goed in de omgang, maar niet zó goed. Hij is nergens echt een expert in. Dit is alleen te merken als je meer met hem om gaat.

OUTER
Hair;; Kort, altijd warrig door de wind en doordat hij er weinig aandacht aan schenkt. Het is sneeuwwit van kleur, waar het vroeger donkerbruin was.
Eyes;; Zijn ogen hebben een lichtblauwe kleur en je ziet altijd een soort pretlichtjes er in.
Build;; Jack is niet ontzettend gezet of gespierd. Hij weegt iets minder dan de gemiddelde jongen van zijn leeftijd en is redelijk tenger.
Clothes;; Jack draagt vaak kleding die fijn zit, zodat hij ook fijn kan bewegen. Meestal zijn het hoodies of sweaters met gewoon een normale broek eronder. Soms draagt hij geen schoenen, maar dat is vooral wanneer hij niet in de les zit.

HISTORY
Go inside, don’t let the frost bite… An old saying in the village Gell, settled in the cold mountains of Cassia. It was a small place, always embraced by snow or low temperature, even when it was July. In the summer, it was still cold, but the villagers walked around in thin jackets, because they were so used to the nine months of freezing winter, in which the temperature would drop to -20 degrees Celcius. Even so, they weren’t that bothered with it, but still they wished for a bright summer’s day with sunshine.
It was on a winter evening that one house in the village forgot the cold and embraced the happiness of the gift God gave them: a tiny baby named Caleb Jack Porter. The village was astonished, but also full of joy as they welcomed the new fragile life in their small group. The baby’s parents were extremely happy with their newborn son, but sadly, Caleb’s father was a busy man and always came home late, which left his mother quite lonely throughout the days.
Caleb grew up quite happily. He went to the local primary school, he had a lot of friends and always played with them, even more so when the first snowflakes began to fall. He always loved snow, even though their village was embraced in layers and layers of the icy cloak for months. He never stopped loving it, it made him happy and he never grew sick of it.
When Caleb was around 12, his father decided to take him on a trip through the mountains. It was something every boy in the village had to do to become a man, since climbing mountains was a skill every man in the village Gell had to master. Caleb went along with his father to learn to climb mountains, but was terrified. His first mountain wasn’t that high, but it still made his heart race. His father guided him throughout the whole process and as Caleb reached the top, he felt his confidence grow massively. He felt brave, confident and proud of himself. His father showed his pride in his son by letting him climb more mountains. Normally, climbing mountains was something that had to be done in baby-steps, but Caleb was a brave and reckless little boy who looked for a challenge.

Brave, but reckless. The crumbling of the rocks in the palm of his hand was a discomforting feeling. He was lucky not to have climbed that far, so the landing wasn’t that painful. It was the hill that screwed him over. As he rolled down he couldn’t see the canyon he was nearing. The snow in his eyes, the snow in his mouth, nose and ears made it impossible. He felt the world disappear under him as he fell into the canyon and it was only a matter of time until his sight went black as his body fell on a snowy ledge, which saved him from the long fall to the bottom of the canyon.
As Caleb woke up, he found himself literally on the verge of death. He couldn’t leave the ledge, because he didn’t have his climbing tools and he couldn’t go to the bottom of the canyon, because he didn’t know how long the fall would be and didn’t know if he could climb down with his bare hands without any rope to support him if he were to fall.
So instead he sat there, waiting for help, praying for anyone to find him, all alone in the cold with only the wind keeping him company and with the frostbite taking his body. At some point he felt how his tears froze on his cheeks because of the cold and how he couldn’t feel his body anymore. He tried to hold on for at least a few days, but in the winter with temperatures below 0 degrees it was a hard thing to do. He only managed to hold on for three days and he was lucky to be found on the third day. People had found his tools under the layers of snow on the surface and his father knew he had to be somewhere nearby. They found his body all frozen on that ledge in the canyon and took him to the village. He didn’t move, he didn’t show any sign of life, except for his weak heartbeat that would last him for not long anymore. His father took him to a doctor, who told him to go to the Ice Magician in the village. The doctor couldn’t do anything as Caleb’s situation had advanced too far. The Ice Magician, however, could help Caleb. He cast a spell on Caleb to save him from the cold, but the spell caused the reversed effect: he became the cold. Caleb’s hair turned snowy white, his eyes turned light blue and his body kept the cold temperature. He woke up, only to find himself blessed with ice powers.

From that moment on, he became the Jack Frost of the village. The Ice Magician passed away in a year and thus, Jack replaced him. His parents weren’t sure if this was the right thing for their son, but they let him have his fun as new-found Magician. He showed his love – still, even after the accident – for snow and winter and practised his ice magic outside the village, so he could use it like his saviour did. The kids all loved him as he played snowballs with him, the people loved him as he made winter way prettier than it was before with ice sculptures and frozen fountains and his parents kept supporting him. Then, in the winter of Jack’s 16th birthday, another accident happened. The barriers which the former ice magician had created to protect the village from avalanches broke, because Jack hadn’t learned to control them. The avalanche hit the village hard, buried hundreds of houses under snow and took the lives of at least half of the villagers. The villagers left alive, were furious at Jack for neglecting the barriers. Jack was devastated, sad, angry at himself and had no idea what to say against the yelling villagers. They expelled him and his family from the village. Jack’s parents were also furious, furious for letting happen what happened. They didn't understand the fact that Jack simply wasn't strong enough yet and thought he only cared about playing and fun. They moved into another village in the western part of Cassia and sent him to a magical school, so he could learn more about his powers.
